June Club Meeting

The regular Monthly Meeting of the Vienna Wireless Society is coming up next Friday June 12th at 7:30 PM EDT in the Oakton High School cafeteria, or via Zoom. 

This month’s topic: Aaron Lassman, K4LAS will be giving a presentation during the June meeting about Parks On The Air, or POTA. He will cover the history of POTA, the roles a ham can play when participating, how to participate, rules, equipment, and strategies. It should be an exciting hour full of everything you wanted to know about POTA but were afraid to ask. 

About our speaker:  Aaron Lassman, K4LAS, is VWS’s new POTA representative. Aaron is a new ham having gained his Technician, General, and Extra licenses early this year. Even though Aaron is a new ham, he has worked with HF and VHF/UHF radios as part of his regular duties for more than 20 years. Aaron’s QTH is Falls Church, He currently works with the State Department as an I.T. and Cyber Security expert.
