November 2025 Business Meeting
The annual business meeting for the Vienna Wireless Society will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025 at 7:30 PM. The meeting will be held at Oakton HS in the cafeteria, and will be streaming via Zoom. The Zoom link (URL) will be posted here on the club website and calendar. We encourage all members to attend. There are several items on the agenda. In order to have a quorum for a valid meeting it’s important to have as many members as possible participate. Thank you!

(1) State of the Club
Our Vice President, Lou Ward (KN4IJC), will present an overview and results of the club activities during 2025. Recognition for all our hard working volunteers will be a part of the overview!
(2) 2026 Club Budget
The membership will be asked to review and approve the club budget for 2026. The VWS Board of Directors has reviewed and approved the budget. See the October 9 announcement email for a link to a brief video with the details.
(3) Board of Directors Election
The membership will elect two members for the Board of Directors of VWS. The board seats currently occupied by Sean Walberg (N3RTW) and Mike Dannhardt (KA4CDN) expire this term. Neither Sean nor Mike’s positions is term limited. Sean will continue but Mike has decided to step down. There is a candidate to replace him. Others may be interested, and if so a vote will be conducted.
(4) Proposed Amendment to the Bylaws
Finally, the membership will vote on a proposed amendment to our club bylaws needed because of the Foundation for Amateur Radio (FAR) ceasing operations in 2025. The proposal is attached to the October 9 email announcing the meeting.
And as usual there will be plenty of opportunities to talk with your fellow Club members and radio experts! Oh, did I mention there will be food?
